I bought a condo and would like to get a roommate here in Aiea. Or I'll rent the whole unit to a military family.
As I am trying to be as up front as possible, I'll list both the pros and the cons as I see them. This is coming straight from the owner. I'll give you my sob story after the pros and cons so you can choose to be all business or not.
Pros:
Top floor
Great airflow, A/C units in both bedrooms

Centrally located, close to all military assignment locations
Walking distance to restaurants and shopping
You'll see your landlord to complain to him about anything that goes wrong... So that's neat I suppose.
I am planning on upgrading the property
Cons:
Noise pollution, trying to mute as much as I can
1 parking spot, but street parking is available
No dishwasher but stove, fridge, water dispenser, sink with garbage disposal, microwave, air fryer, and rice cooker are provided.
I am planning on upgrading the unit so there may be days where I'm doing projects
Background:
I was trying not to come to Hawaii as my wife is back home in Colorado with a multitude of health problems. Yes, I am aware that Tripler is good. Yes, I'm aware that Tri-Care works out here. Yes, I'm aware of the Exceptional Family Member Program. I have tried getting HOMS orders. Me being in Hawaii is well and truly because God wants me here at this moment in time. I can explain more if you really want but that takes away from what I'm really offering. I'm offering you Rent below what BAH provides, so you get to pocket a chunk of your BAH after paying rent. You get to save money and I don't need to take on as much part time work as I am preparing to engage in on top of my work as an active duty sailor.
