This fully furnished (Optional) dream home is for rent. This west facing 3,998 sq/ft house is situated on .92 acres. The yard is beautifully landscaped with fully automatic sprinkler system. I raised sheep for my family so I have a 16x12 animal shelter and premium sheep fencing. It was manufactured by Brazzen and is fully galvanized so it will not rust, bend, warp and is nearly indestructible. If you are not interested in raising sheep and would prefer the back yard for entertainment purposes, it has a sand volleyball area that just needs to be spread with more sand. If you are not planning on raising sheep or dwarf goats, they can be removed. It has a gravel driveway that wraps around the house, which is great when you are entertaining a large group. It is also very convenient when hauling in hay and feed and don’t have to carry it far. There is a large deck with part of it covered and provides shade for the patio beneath. The roof was replaced in June 2022 with 30 years architectural shingles. The house is wonderful. It has 7 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Master bathroom has a handicapped accessible shower with bars and a bench and handheld shower. The house is on two levels but due to the configuration both floors are on ground level making it have easy access for mobility issues. Currently, four of the rooms are set up as bedrooms, all with queen beds. One room is set up as a “game” room. A round table that seats 6 comfortably and shelves of board games for all age groups and group sizes. One room is set up as study / office / library. One room is set up as a puzzle room. I enjoy putting puzzles together but don’t like having to put it away until it is completed. The open area is set up with a recombinant bike / stair climber, yoga, and video gaming. The kitchen is large with a dining area and the covered portion of the deck off the kitchen for dining outside. A large pantry with ample room for all your needs. The kitchen floor is tiled and the dining area has luxury vinyl flooring. There is ample counter space and the island provides working and entertaining space as well as storage. A Weber gas grill for all your grilling needs. The living room is large with an electrical plug in the floor for the powered couch or lamps. A large dining area is off the living room and provides additional dining space and entertainment space. Ceilings are high vaulted with a recessed shelf to display your treasures. Access to the not covered deck is off the living room. A large gas fireplace provides warmth and ambiance to the room. The dining area is separated by two large columns. The living room area is carpeted and the dining area has luxury vinyl flooring. 3 Bedroom are on the main floor to include the master bedroom with master bath ensuite. A large walk in closet is located in the bathroom. Two of the bedrooms face the west and the master is on the east side. A full bath is at the end of the wide hallway. The bath has a bath/shower combo. The master bedroom is large and has recessed lighting. The bathroom has a separate toilet area that has a top of the line bidet. The shower has grab bars and a bench and a handheld shower head. The stairs for the lower level runs parallel to the hallway. A large family room with door leading outside for easy access. Off the family room is the first of the bedrooms. It can easily be an office or study as it has built in bookcase with computer recessed area with sliding tray for the keyboard. This bedroom has luxury vinyl flooring for ease of office chair gliding smoothly. Access to water main shutoff is located here. A full bathroom is the first room down the hallway. The toilet has a bidet and a bathtub/shower combo. The next room on the left is the utility room with furnace, water heater and water softener. The furnace/ac, water heater and water softener were all replaced late June 2022. Staying on the east side of the hall, the next room is a bedroom with a built in shelf for makeup, computer or homework workspace. It is shaded from the covered deck above. At the end of the hallway is an open area that could be used for gym equipment, a tv / gaming room. Off the open area is a large deep storage with built in shelves on both sides to store everything. Retreating back down the hallway the rooms on the west side of the house, is another bedroom with a deep window well. The next room is another bedroom with window on the ground level. At the end of the hallway is under the stairs storage. The house has newer carpets (October 2021) in living room, hallways and family rooms. Each entryway has either a tiled or vinyl space to remove your shoes before getting the carpets wet or soiled. All the windows on the east side of the house have had privacy film added. I can look outside at the lovely view without anyone being able to look in. It also provides shade and reduces glare in addition to regulating heat. I don’t have to keep the blinds or drapes closed to keep out the glare of the sun and can enjoy the view all the time. A two car attached garage enters into the laundry room which has a deep sink and a closet. This is a perfect well thought out house that provides ample space for your families needs. It has been well maintained. The color scheme is various shades of light grey that goes with all decors. West Haven is a quiet community. It is west of Hill AFB/Ogden/Roy area. Shopping is nearby for groceries and many dining options. It is close to both the elementary and junior high school, you can see them from your windows. The high school that your children would be bussed t, is Fremont although Roy High is closer but you would need to drive them and get a variance. A new high school is being built and that would be the school that they would attend but since I do not have school aged children I do not know the name of it. Still would have to be bussed or driven since it is not within walking distance. New roof (2022) ,new furnace/ac, water heater, water softener, (2022) newer carpets in major living spaces (Oct 2021). Front load washer, dryer in laundry room. The garage has an extra fridge and 3 freezers. 2 for lamb and other meats and 1 for other frozen foods. 2 24 bottle wine chillers are in family room. The neighborhood is quiet with a mix of older empty nester couples and a few with younger children. After I retired from the Army, I returned to Utah where I was promptly offered a great government job that I could not refuse. I was looking to transfer to warmer climates but my parents became more dependent on me as they got older. My Dad passed away in Jan 2022 and my Mom in Aug 2023. Although I still have all my family here, I want to move somewhere warmer. Now let’s get to the business side of things. I am renting for $3,300 per month, we average $40 for water, (Yard is on secondary) Xfinity internet is $95, Dominion Energy $100-120, Rocky Mountain Power $60-80. Utilities will be your responsibility. I have a great indoor/outdoor cat who patrols the grounds and ensures that mice do not come around. She likes to be outside during the day and snuggles at night. I am a cat person, strictly outside dogs will be considered but not indoor dogs. A little about me, I am retired Army and retired from government service. In the last two years, my beloved Dad passed away. My Mom who had Parkinson’s needed more support with my Dad’s passing. One brother completed radiation for cancer, his son in July 2023, committed suicide. He was a Army veteran. One month later a uncle passed away from a massive stroke, followed weeks later by Mom passing away, Followed weeks later by a cousin passing away, followed by a niece-in-law passing from a brain tumor, followed by an aunt having a stroke and is currently in recovery. It has been incredibly stressful time and I need time to relax and destress. I need to process all the loses and mourn. My plan has always been to move to a warmer area after my Parents passed away. But with all the added losses, my counselor suggested that I travel for 6-12 months and take my time mourning. At the end, I can decide whether I will return to live here or sell and move. I am offering my home exclusively to military families. I know that it takes months to get your furniture shipped to new duty station. So having a fully furnished luxury home reduces the stress of the family living out of suitcases. My house is great for family and for entertaining. Right now, several of the rooms are being used to store items from my Parents home. They belong to several of my nieces and nephews. But they are all college students who graduate this year.
